SOLEST TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of the SOLEST website and mobile application.
Please read them before creating an account, starting a trial or purchasing a subscription.
By creating a SOLEST account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About SOLEST
SOLEST is a personalised lifestyle and self-development service designed to help users reflect, build clarity, explore goals and stay connected to the person and life they are working toward.
Features may include:
- Ask SOLEST;
- personalised future-self stories;
- audio journeys;
- Journal;
- Vision Board;
- memory and personalisation;
- daily guidance;
- notifications; and
- other tools introduced over time.
The exact features available may depend on your subscription, device, region and version of SOLEST.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use SOLEST.
If you are under 18, you should only purchase or start a paid subscription where this is permitted by applicable law, your app-store account and any parent or guardian permission that may be required.
If the law where you live requires additional parental or guardian permission to use an online service of this kind, you must have that permission.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity carried out using your account.
You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not impersonate another person.
Depending on the options available, you may create or access your account using SOLEST account credentials, Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
You must not allow another person to use your account in a way that compromises its security or SOLEST's systems.
4. Personalisation
SOLEST is designed to learn from information you choose to provide.
This may include your goals, preferences, routines, relationships, Journal content, conversations and other information you choose to share.
The quality and relevance of personalisation may depend on the information you provide and your continued use of SOLEST.
You can edit or remove information where the relevant feature allows you to do so.
5. AI-generated content
SOLEST uses artificial intelligence as part of its service.
AI-generated conversations, stories, images, suggestions and other outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your particular circumstances.
They should be treated as supportive lifestyle content rather than guaranteed facts or professional advice.
AI outputs may not be unique. Other users may receive similar or identical content.
You remain responsible for decisions you make based on information provided through SOLEST.
6. SOLEST is not professional advice
SOLEST is a lifestyle and personal-development service.
It is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.
SOLEST does not diagnose medical or mental-health conditions and is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you need professional assistance, you should contact an appropriately qualified professional.
If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service in your location.
7. Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit to SOLEST.
By submitting content, you give us a limited permission to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit that content where necessary to operate SOLEST and provide the features you request.
This permission exists only for purposes connected with operating, securing and providing SOLEST and ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup retention and legal obligations.
You must not submit content that:
- you do not have the right to use or share;
- unlawfully infringes another person's rights;
- is deliberately malicious or unlawful; or
- is intended to compromise SOLEST or its systems.
If you provide information or images relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring you are entitled to provide them.
8. SOLEST-generated content
You may use content generated for you by SOLEST for lawful personal purposes, including sharing it socially, subject to applicable law and any third-party rights.
AI-generated outputs may not be exclusive to you.
SOLEST's branding, software, interfaces, designs, fixed editorial content, audio library and other intellectual property remain owned by or licensed to SOLEST and may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without permission.
9. Premium subscriptions
SOLEST may offer Premium access through monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions.
The exact subscription price will be displayed in your local currency through the Apple App Store or Google Play before you purchase.
Regional prices may differ.
The price displayed by the relevant app store at the time of purchase is the price that applies to your transaction.
Subscriptions provide access to the Premium features described in the app at the time of purchase.
10. Free trials
SOLEST may offer a free trial before a paid subscription begins.
Where a 7-day free trial or another promotional trial is offered, the trial period and price that will apply afterwards will be clearly displayed before you subscribe.
Unless you cancel before the end of the trial in accordance with the relevant app-store rules, the subscription will automatically convert into the monthly or annual paid plan you selected.
Eligibility for trials may be determined by Apple, Google or SOLEST and a user is not eligible to receive the same trial more than once.
11. Renewal, cancellation and refunds
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the relevant app-store subscription settings.
Deleting your SOLEST account does not automatically cancel your app-store subscription.
You should cancel an active subscription separately if you do not want future renewal charges.
Refund requests are generally handled by Apple or Google where they processed the purchase, subject to their policies and any statutory rights that apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Fair use
Some SOLEST features use computationally intensive third-party services, including AI conversations, image generation and AI narration.
Premium access is intended to provide normal personal use of these features.
We may apply reasonable fair-use, rate or abuse-prevention limits where necessary to:
- protect service availability;
- prevent automated or excessive misuse;
- maintain security; or
- manage unusually high third-party processing usage.
We will not use hidden restrictions to materially misrepresent the subscription you purchased.
Where a material usage restriction applies, we will aim to explain it clearly in the relevant part of the service or purchase information.
13. Notifications
If you choose to enable notifications, SOLEST may send reminders, encouragement, reflections or service-related notifications.
You can change your notification settings at any time through SOLEST or your device.
14. Acceptable use
You must not use SOLEST to:
- break the law;
- infringe another person's rights;
- compromise another person's privacy;
- distribute malware or malicious code;
- attempt unauthorised access to SOLEST or another user's account;
- scrape, reverse engineer or misuse SOLEST except where the law expressly permits it;
- interfere with the security or operation of the service;
- abuse AI or other resource-intensive functionality through automated or unreasonable use; or
- use SOLEST for fraudulent or harmful purposes.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect SOLEST, its users or third parties.
15. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that SOLEST will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available.
We may maintain, update, replace or improve features over time.
Because SOLEST relies on technology and third-party services, particular functionality may occasionally be unavailable.
We may change features where reasonably necessary, but we will not deliberately remove the core value of a paid subscription without taking appropriate steps for affected users.
16. Third-party services
SOLEST relies on third-party services including AI providers, voice providers, hosting services, Apple, Google and Firebase.
Their availability may affect the operation of SOLEST.
If you use Apple or Google services, their own terms and policies also apply to your relationship with them.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SOLEST at any time.
We may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:
- serious or repeated breach of these Terms;
- unlawful activity;
- fraud;
- security threats;
- abuse of SOLEST systems; or
- circumstances where we are legally required to do so.
Where reasonably possible, we will act proportionately.
18. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your SOLEST account through the app.
Deleting your account removes your SOLEST account and associated personal data from active systems, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy and any information we are legally required to retain.
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate processes.
19. Intellectual property
The SOLEST name, branding, software, app design, graphics, audio library, written content, interfaces and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to the business providing SOLEST.
Except for the personal use permitted by these Terms, nothing grants you ownership of SOLEST's intellectual property.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, SOLEST is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the service or for losses arising from your use of general lifestyle or AI-generated content as a substitute for professional advice.
SOLEST is provided for personal use. We are not responsible for business or commercial losses arising from use of the service except where applicable law requires otherwise.
21. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and shared through SOLEST.
Please read it alongside these Terms.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where SOLEST, applicable law or our commercial arrangements change.
If a change is material to existing users, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
Continuing to use SOLEST after updated Terms take effect may mean the updated Terms apply to your continued use, subject to applicable consumer law.
23. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live outside England and Wales, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of your country of residence.
Nothing in this clause removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
